Class Notes & Reminders

Suzy’s daughter is getting married at the end of August, so Suzy will not be teaching her usual classes during the month of August.  That means the next Basic Stamping 101 will be in September.

Our newest teacher, Jen Del Muro, is back to teach another of her very popular Copic class. Jen lives locally, is the design team coordinator for My Favorite Things stamp company, and has been published in several magazines.  Make note she is again teaching her Copic class on a Friday night with limited space, so don’t wait to sign up. 

Don’t forget if you have to cancel a class, you must call the store by the Wednesday before or you will need to pay the class fee whether you are here or not.  The teachers do a lot of preparing and sometimes they even fill up and have waiting lists so if you do not call ahead it hurts the teachers and the customers. 

A 10% discount is always given the day of a class.

Basic Tool Kit to include Adhesive (most important because it is the one thing you can’t share), scissors, exacto knife and blades, cutting mat, ruler, bone folder and a pencil.

August 3rd– Triple S Swap 2:00 p.m.

August 9^th – 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. – Summer Star Book – Using Pine Cone Press’s star book kit, summer papers, and summer stamps from Impression Obsession you will create this cool summery star book.  Bring basic tool kit. Tina $25 – to include kit – retail value $8. Class size limited to 8.

August 16th -10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. –The Best of Big & Bolds – In April, Tina taught a Morning Madness with Hero Arts Big & Bold stamps, and now she has taught another Big & Bold Part 2 class this week.  You will create 4 of the best cards from both classes in this one class!  Bring basic tool kit.Tina $20

Challenge: Fancy Folds

August 23^rd  – 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. – Texas Fold-Em – You will learn three different kinds of paper folding to create 3 cards.  Come try your hand at Iris folding, Tea Bag Folding, and Dahlia Folding.  Really cool!  Bring basic tool kit.  Ruth $25

August 29^th – 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. – Friday Night Fun with Copics – Jen will be teaching you how to color and blend with the Copic alcohol markers.  You will create 2 cards in class.  Bring basic tool kit.  Jen $42 – to include the 6 Copic markers that will be yours to take home – retail value $24.  Class size is limited to 10.

September 7^th - Triple S Swap 2:00 p.m.

September 13^th – 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. -Basic Stamping 101- A great class to teach you about inks, papers, embossing, masking, backgrounds, and more.  No supplies to bring.  Suzy $20

September 13^th -  2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. –Bits & Pieces Soldering – In this class, Suzy will show you how to solder around all kinds of different size objects.  Call for possible supply list of what to bring. Suzy $35

September 20^th – “Your” Fall Cleaning Sale

September 21^st – Advanced Challenge Triple S Swap 2:00p.m.  Challenge: - To be decided at Aug. 17^th swap

September 27^th – 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. – Holiday Tapestry – Ruth has done it now!  She has kicked off our holiday classes with a great one using Rubber Stamp Tapestry’s peg stamps!
